Introducing Colour Therapy
Colour therapy aims to balance your mind and internal energy by using different colours to channel different energies. A colour is simply light of a certain wavelength, and therefore each colour is considered to have its own particular energy.
Colour psychology is also known to assign certain emotional and psychological connotations to different colours. Different colours can have different effects on your brain. But they can also have different meanings for different people.

What are your colours?
What are your favourite colours? How you feel or respond to a colour can depend on your personality or your past memories. You may have colours that you associate positively with, and others that are negative. Colours can also have different associations in different cultures.
Write a colour poem
Try this process of channelling colours into beautiful poetry.
Choose a colour. It might be your favourite colour or a colour that has the most meaning to you. Write the colour on the top of your page.
Underneath the colour, write a list of things that you associate with that colour. It can be anything that comes to your mind when you think of your colour. For example:
Once you have your initial list, try to add more descriptive words to what you have listed.
Use your descriptive list to try to formulate a poem. There are no rules! Pull words and phrases together to express a story. Ask yourself how the words and colours make you feel and try to add that into the poem.
Mindful walking - Go for a rainbow walk!
Try this mindful walking practice.
Go outside for a walk. As you walk, notice the colours of the things that surround you. You might look at the colour of the sky, or spot some colourful flowers on the street. Notice the colours of houses and buildings.
Take note of the different shades and hues that you see. Are they bright, dull, or patterned?
Try to find something for each colour of the rainbow: red, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange.
Use your camera to take a photo of each colour you find.
